DSME ranks first in the world with a 20% market share in terms of the number of VLCCs in operation.

In addition, we have built various oil tankers including crude oil carriers, shuttle tankers, product carriers, and chemical product carriers, and by doing so, we managed to accumulate technological expertise and know-how in the tanker building industry.

In particular, DSME won an order from Shell, a major end-user, for tankers with ME-GI engines and high-manganese steel, thereby receiving orders for ME-GI in all types of tankers.

All our oil tankers are next-generation eco-friendly tankers that meet the environmental regulations of the IMO (International Maritime Organization), and are leading the shipbuilding industry with their high-efficiency engines and the latest fuel-saving technologies.
